Three Nemetschek Group brands to exhibit together and collaborate on sponsorships, presentations at premier UK construction event
Pasadena, CA (14 February 2018) Bluebeam, leading developer of innovative technology solutions for the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industries will attend the BIM Show Live Conference as a Gold Sponsor in 2018, and will exhibit and co-present on the Tech Stage with Nemetschek Group brands ALLPLAN and Solibri on the importance of interoperability and open data formats. The three companies will also co-sponsor the BIM Awards at the event kickoff on Tuesday, 27 February.
Held from 28 February–1 March 2018 in Newcastle upon Tyne, BIM Show Live will feature keynotes, panel discussions and interactive seminar sessions from global BIM and digital construction experts. Bluebeam, ALLPLAN and Solibri will showcase collaborative software workflows for BIM, optimised for Nemetschek Group solutions, on the show floor with in-person demonstrations.
The Nemetschek Group companies include 13 global technology brands that cover the entire lifecycle of a building or infrastructure project, from the planning phase to construction and facility management.
“Companies in the built industry are moving towards global collaboration and integration,” said Don Jacob, CTO of Bluebeam. “Interoperability is crucial to their success, and companies like Bluebeam, ALLPLAN and Solibri are part of the collaborative approach, which enables software solutions to communicate with each other.”
“For many years at ALLPLAN, we have been able to provide complete traceability of every object, in order to support the entire lifecycle of the project. With Allplan Bimplus, we have an open BIM common data environment and platform for managing models and all associated project data with the entire project team, as well as our sister companies such as Bluebeam and Solibri, for maximum interoperability,” stated Richard Brotherton, CEO of ALLPLAN.
“Solibri was founded on the principle of Open BIM – meaning interoperability to benefit all users – whether they be the owner, constructor or designer of a building. The Nemetschek Group is based on similar principles and we see this thinking brought to life with the likes of our sister companies, Bluebeam and ALLPLAN,” said Heikki Kulusjärvi, Solibri CEO.
Presentation by Bluebeam, ALLPLAN and Solibri at BIM Show Live:
Title: “Achieving Interoperability Between Information Systems”
Date: 28 February 2018
Speakers: James Chambers, UK Country Manager, Bluebeam, Inc.; Andrew Bellerby, Managing Director, Solibri UK Ltd.; Jonathan Croft, Technical Applications Engineer, ALLPLAN UK Ltd. Moderated by Don Jacob, CTO, Bluebeam, Inc.
Summary: A lack of interoperability between information systems means firms often expend considerable time and resources when moving between, and within, projects. Greater interoperability, use of a common data environment (CDE) and open data formats (like PDF and IFC) – when applied together – can deliver significant efficiency savings.
