Pasadena, CA (October 9, 2017) Bluebeam, Inc., leading developer of software solutions for the design and construction industries, brings back the Bluebeam Challenge to UK Construction Week for the second year in a row. Bluebeam Challenge attendees compete over the course of three days, completing a series of construction and engineering based digital challenges using Bluebeam Revu exclusively on the Microsoft Surface Book. In a race against the clock, teams and single players will demonstrate their speed, accuracy and creativity for the chance to win a Surface Book, courtesy of exclusive sponsor, Microsoft. Held in Birmingham from 10th -12th October, UK Construction Week is the UK’s largest construction trade event with an audience of over 30,000 visitors.

“Combining the right digital tools with innovative hardware is the best way to optimize project workflows and benefit our customers in the built industry,” said Don Jacob, CTO of Bluebeam. “Microsoft’s Surface Book is an ideal platform to use Bluebeam Revu, providing all the power and ease-of-use our customers need to face their own challenges every work day.”

The award-winning software, Bluebeam Revu, and cloud-based collaboration platform, Bluebeam Studio, serve as essential workflow solutions that connect all projects and teams, increasing productivity while saving both time and money. By utilizing the PDF format, Revu enables a common environment that allows metadata, hyperlinks, bookmarks, images, attachments and 3D data to be shared by all project partners.

The Microsoft Surface Book gives you everything you need to work with software like Bluebeam Revu — anywhere you want. Incredibly powerful and meticulously crafted, Surface Book combines the power of a high-performance laptop with the versatility of a tablet. The transformative device empowers Revu users to streamline digital workflows, increase efficiency and unlock productivity in the design and construction industries.

“We’re excited to sponsor the Bluebeam challenge this year,” said Ryan Asdourian, Windows and Surface BG Lead at Microsoft. “We understand that for those working in architecture, construction and engineering, it is essential to have intuitive workflow and collaboration software, like Bluebeam Revu, to work more effectively.  We also understand the importance of having a high-performance and powerful device that can run this software regardless of whether you’re working from the office or onsite, and we’re excited to see what is possible when participants combine Revu and a Surface Book.”
